Improve Healthcare Quality in Your Organization
With a Health Literacy Training Program

Over 80 million U.S. adults have trouble understanding information from their healthcare provider. Patients with limited health literacy skills are less likely to have preventative care or understand their diagnosis, and they are hospitalized more often.

To protect and enhance patient lives across diverse subpopulations, professionals like you need practical solutions that ensure health communications can be understood so healthcare is inclusive and accessible to all.

IHA’s Health Literacy Specialist (HLS) Certificate Program enables your team to lead patient experience initiatives in your organization, by mastering the fundamentals of evidence-based health literacy practices. Participants will gain the confidence to become health literacy subject matter experts, while achieving personal growth and enhancing credibility.

The micro-credentials reside on a Learning Management System (LMS) that enables participation at a self-managed pace. After completing all the micro-credentials, each participant will receive a Health Literacy Specialist certificate, digital badge and continuing education credits (if applicable).
