IHA is honored to partner with Cecilia Doak in announcing the 2nd Annual Leonard Doak Memorial Scholarship in Health Literacy

.

The scholarship’s goal is to honor the life and career of our esteemed colleague and friend, Leonard Doak, by providing a rigorous training opportunity to a health educator who plans to apply this knowledge to better serve the disadvantaged communities in which he or she works.

Scholarship benefits

The scholarship provides:
• Full tuition for the annual IHA Health Literacy Conference in Irvine, California, in May 2014 and 2015 [link to conference page]
• Full tuition for the 2014 pre-conference full-day training session [link to workshop page]
• All expenses — including conference registration, airfare, hotel fees, and meals — during both events
• One year of mentorship by Cecilia Doak after attending the first conference, to accomplish your stated goals and objectives
The winner will present the outcome of their work in a poster session at the 2015 conference. The poster will also be displayed on our website throughout the following year.
